Summary:
This workshop looks at autistic teenagers and what happens during adolescence.
Aim:
- To build an understanding of the neurological, emotional, physical, and social changes that are happening to autistic teens.
- Provide support solutions
Duration:
- 4 hours including 5-10 min breaks every hour

Learning outcomes:
- How hormones and society impact on presentation
- Is it a “milder” form of autism? Understanding how AFAB autistics, are misdiagnosed and misunderstood
- Mental health in the autistic AFAB population
- Discovering authenticity of self and the impact of longterm masking
Prior Knowledge:
- An understanding of the neurodiversity paradigm
- An understanding of neuro-affirming practice
- A basic understanding of what autism is
